I had so much fun getting to know Jessica and Rob! They allowed me to coordinate their September 27, 2008 wedding at the stunning James J. Hill Library in downtown St. Paul. The day was a bit overcast and chilly for what we’d have liked in September, but we missed any sort of rain (Anita and Joe got all of it a couple weeks prior!) so we couldn’t complain! I started the day off by delivering the bridal party flowers to everyone at The Saint Paul Hotel then got everything set up at the J. J. Hill Library. They had a lot of incredible personal touches – my favorite of which was a bagpiper for the processional and homemade truffles for the guest favors. The best part of the day, for me anyway, was when Rob decided to jam with the band and perform for all the guests. Jessica and Rob’s photographer, Helios Photography, submitted some of their wedding pictures to Minnesota Bride Magazine and they were selected to be published in the Fall/Winter 2009 publication. Check them out on pages 158-159!
Well done, Rob. A Tiffany’s necklace for Jessica’s wedding day gift.
Jessica did an awesome job of pulling together details of a library wedding. Their invitations were booklets complete with a covered spine and old school book cards for the RSVP card. Their escort cards were held in an old library card catalog for the guests to thumb through and find their table assignments.
Jessica had her grandfather’s watch face attached to her bouquet. He was very dear to her and it was the best way to keep him close on the wedding day.
Love in Rice Park
The library has a beautiful ceremony set up.
Newlyweds!
I really liked the different way to incorporate the fall colors in the table runners and reeds wrapped in leaves.
Each guest got a homemade truffle at their seats.
Rob: attorney at law AND a rockstar!
And they danced the night away! THANKS SO MUCH, you two!
